Guess….
Guess why these charming creatures Joined us at the conference…
The animal friends that accompanied our Circle Connections presenters at the training conference represent the seven sacred teachings in Indigenous Culture: Love, Respect, Humility, Courage, Wisdom, Honesty, and Truth. These teachings interconnect to build respectful relationships with all of creation and the animals are generally considered to embody those traits.
Guess How our Financial controller ‘enriched’ his tree of life creation…
If you take a close look at Mohammad's hand you'll see that the little branches from a cluster of grapes are becoming a physical part of his tree of life creation. Good to see that we have someone creative and practical in charge of our finances.
Guess why Emily and Jonelle look so pleased…
It turns out that Emily on the left (Team Lead, HELP) and Jonelle (Navigator, HELP) are quite the fans of Dr Miriam Sekandi who opened up the training conference. We’ve only connected with Dr Sekandi in virtual meetings before so it was a treat for all of us to interact with her in person. This photo highlights how warm and approachable Dr. Sekandi was that morning and her smile shows she was also delighted to meet real GSS staff!
